Okay -- I am tearing my hair over this one. What is the simplest way to simply backup all of my photos, SMSes, etc. from my galaxy S2? The computer does not recognize the S2 with the USB port and wants to install a device driver, which it cannot locate -- I can probably look for it on the TMobile website but cannot believe it is this diffiicult to back up this phone. I am trying Klies Air and try to select all photos but can only select all on one page at a time and I have SEVERAL pages.:) So that is not an easy way out as all.
I have to perform a master reset because of another issue that I will create a post for. Thanks.
I forgot to add that my SD card currently is not large enough for me to backup all my data.
Kindly read this with open eyes and mind.
When you plug in via USB, do you select the icon in the notification bar and turn on USB mass storage mode? Drivers shouldn't be an issue in this mode. You should be able to select the internal and external (SD) memory like any other plug-in flash drive.
As for your SMS messages, there are backup apps for those in the Play Store.
Yes it was turned on but still did not work. Works fine on my work computer without any drivers. Anyway, I downloaded the Kies app from the Samsung website.Everything but the call log seems to work when backing up so I will backup without call logs and use the Call Log Backup and Restore (and perhaps even the SMS one) as well. Thanks, guys,
