I, and several others, have asked this question many times. Based on the number of people who have viewed the thread, I would say there is a great deal of interest in how to do this. Yet, there is no clear answer from anyone??? My phone is an LG Sentio (non-android I think???). I have several text messages in my phone that I need to transfer/forward to my email account to be used in a court case. I can't afford to lose them, nor can I use the SMS Backup app so often suggested an the tool to do this.
So, once again, I would ask anyone who can provide a way to do this to please reply. If it cannot be done, then I would like to know that as well. I appreciate any input you may have.
A single message can be forwarded. This was in your previous post forwarding text messages to an email address Unfortunately a entire thread can not be.
Sorry about the lack of communication
Thanks for reposting
The answer previously given was how to create a text message and forward it. That is not what I am trying to do here! I'll try this again (for the 4th time!). Someone sends me a text message to my phone; I reply; they reply; etc.
Now there is a conversation (not thread) stored in my phone. I need to forward the conversation to an email address. If this is possible, please provide step-by-step instructions so I can understand how to do it. Of the many questions on this subject I have yet to see a good, clear answer!
No, I understood what you were asking. This is not possible.
This may not help, but I had to do something similar and downloaded a free app called screen muncher which basically takes a picture of whatever is on the screen and saves it as a picture. I went through the entire text conversation and just munched a picture of each screen and then emailed those pictures to myself. not sure if this will work for you, but hopefully it helps.
I hadn't realized how old your original post was....I certainly hope you had better luck getting an answer in that time than I have.
I tried FWDing various texts to myself three different ways (none of which worked) and, after spending 45 minutes+ on the phone w/tech support, it was determined that going through the legal dept may be the only way this is possible (I too got the screen munch suggestion, but do not want to/cannot take the time to get captures of....every....single...screen; my apologies to you, i do not mean to detract from your suggestion....it just will not work for me). All I want is the contact info of the person, the *ENTIRE* body of the message and a date/time stamp. Why is this so hard to get??
You can take screenshots of each measage and forwad ro email
