I called customer service and they needed the last 4 of ssn but couldn't explain what it was being used for other than "verification" -and they don't have my SSN and aren't going to- verify what I wonder. Felt sorry for the CSR who had to deal with me, LOL. They said I could do it online (no, cannot, SSN s requied) or to go a T-Mo store with my govt issued ID and have them do it. Will try that when I go to town next in a week or so.
Got into a store 186 miles away <roll eyes>. Store people told me yes, I could do this over the phone, and after hearing my tale, they spent 10 minutes on the phone to T-mo support. The part I overheard was "we don't have that information, it's prepaid" several times, and "use a dummy ssn" once.
End result: webguard removed within seconds.
Basically the company doesnt have a SSN for you documented because you dont have a plan.
They issue you a dummy ssn and you have to figure out how to deactivate it on your own so
what is more likley your ssn or last four digits is 0000. You put this in on the my tmobile website and
it should deactivate it for you. its bullsh!t really they dont care about you if you dont have a plan in essence
Yeah completely depending on the acct that you have, bec when Tmob was still was offering Flexpay you can decline a credit check..
For prepaid accts if you do not have ssn the way that you can remove webguard would be to visit a certified T-mob store and present 2 government valid ids of yours to the store representative and for the said representative to call T-mob customer care on behalf of you.
