Clearly all the issues with this phone are TouchWiz related modifications specific to this phone via the manufacturer, as: https://support.t-mobile.com/community/phones_data_devices/android/google_nexus?view=discussions is almost empty...
Unfortunatly I NEED a Keyboard w/dedicated numbers...
Maybe other's will follow "SUIT!"
(Or if Cyanogen gets on board, this might be the best phone ever!)
Are there any 3rd party phones that are compatible, and comparable?
I don't like all this tweaking done to Android screwing up the phones crippling them with a branded interface, and making them almost unusable. ANYTHING with TouchWiz is a Joke, and the Droid1 and Droid2 were about flawless with Cyanogen.
I was looking on eBay for Dual Sim devices, has anyone used one of these?
I'm with you on the following suit part, I'm not one to modd that much or especially will I to the Sidekick because I think that takes the name from it if I do.But devs do gotta start looking at this phone as they do to others.it's up to par with all galaxy s phone's, they're make bretheren related.
Soon. For now, I don't mind.
Dual SIM phones are made by less-established Chinese manufacturers. That category used to be filled with terrible proprietary junk, but at least now only the hardware is ghetto and they run a mainstream OS.
If you notice, most of those phones are catered towards a lower end market and don't have the most modern hardware.
They work per se, but you might have small issues here and there as with any knockoff-style device.
