Done all of that both before and after posting, no results. The problem lies in Menu>Add To>. You can select either bookmark or home screen from the Add To menu. While on the ABC page, I selected Add To home screen. Now I can't rid of it. I have to use Menu>Home to go back to the original home page Web2go.
It's not grotesque, just a pita, and I'd like to restore my home page. I only wanted the ABC page for voting.
I believe the url you are looking for is http://wow2fe.oem.msrch.com/ (aka Web2Go). This page should still be in your bookmarks. If not you will need to type it in the address bar at the top of the screen once you have opened the web browser. When you are on this page whether from bookmark or by typing it in, go the menu settings, general, set homepage, and current page.
Mag & Jay, many thanks for your responses. I've tried each/all of the suggestions, both before I posted, and after. They aren't working, and I think I know why.
Since updating to ICS, the built-in browser offers new options on the menu. One of them is Add To: bookmark or home page. I selected home page, and I'm pretty sure this is where the problem lies.
Once added to the home page in this manner, there appears to be no way to get rid of it. Web2go still shows as the home page under Settings>General, but ABC comes up first. Tapping Menu while on the ABC page gives me the option of Home, tap, and that's when Web2go loads up.
Not a huge deal, but annoying. I found a workaround today. I added a bookmark shortcut -- the bookmark being Web2go. That leads me back to the way the browser was originally set up. Lost the cool little globe icon though.
I also installed the Dolphin browser and using the url you supplied, Mag, was able to set Web2go as my home page there too. I changed it, but was happy to have the url stored.
