My Samsung Galaxy S2 is a great phone, but there are times when it will just light up for no reason. There are no notifications coming through. Can anyone tell me how to stop this or if I'm going crazy? Thank you.
I have noticed that when I'm on the computer and I get a new email in Gmail my phone notifies me. Afterwards if I delete that email it lights up and removes the notification.
Is this happening at 6:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 12:00 AM? Cause it's happening to me. It's also happening to my wife's phone, which is a MyTouch 4G running CM7.
T-Mobile: what are you doing to our phones?
Maybe some secret testing of LTE?
Not at those times but more like 9:30 am, 10:45 am and 3:30 pm. I just did a factory reset on my phone to see what happens now. I also did not install any apps on the phone to see what happens. This is strange. I will keep you posted. Thank you.
did a factory reset and that did not stop the back light from coming on for not reason.
Mine and my wife's phone are still going on every six hours, like a freaking cuckoo clock.
Spoke with T-Mobile and the problem is the proximity sensor. they sent Mr an email to back up my data and another to reset the hard ware. my phone is working fine. They way to test it is to see if you are on an incoming call to cover the sensor on the front of the phone and see if the screen goes dark and if it does its the
sensor. Be mindful that the screen and sensor may work some times and sometimes not. But t mobile can help. I now love my phone even more.
We must be having separate issues, then. No way is my proximity sensor (and that of another phone) going off like clockwork every six hours.
I hate to bother you about this again, but I have received a new Galaxy SII from T-moble, after deciding not to do the software update, since I had only had my phone a couple of weeks. Anyway the new phone was working great for a while and now the lighting up things is starting again, but this time I notices it only started when I placed some phone numbers on the blacklist to block them from calling. So my question is do you have some numbers on your blacklist?
