I bought an iphone 4s from this guy and it is a Verizon iphone 4s. It is not activated and wanted to find out how can i tell if it is unlocked? So i can activate it with T-mobile. Can T-mobile just enter a Micro-sim card and it will be activated?
You cannot use a Verizon phone on T-Mobile as Verizon uses CDMA (NO SIM) technology while T-Mobile uses GSM technology. So in short terms, your iPhone can only work on Verizon or maybe Sprint. Sorry
Not true remember the 4s is a global phone so it does have a Verizon sim card but the regular 4 doesn't have it. I saw a Verizon iPhone 4s work on att. So I think u just need to unlock it and get a T-mobile sim card. Or u can maybe bring it to T-mobile and hopefully they help u
Ahhhh you are correct!!! I totally forgot the "world phone" aspect . Pokeflute is absolutely correct. Thank you for the correction!
No problem honest mistake.
However Verizon will not unlock it for T-Mobile
I would suggest a GEVEY sim or the SAM method (both require a jailbreak)
Okay Thanks everyone! Since I updated to 5.1. I'm going to have to wait till the jailbreak comes out, then unlock it. So i can i have it on T-mobile. Again, Thanks everyone!
