Just wondering if I can get TMobile Wifi Calling App for Garminfone?
Appreciate your help,
I don't even see this listed in Google Market. Is that the right name?
I assume that's different than Skype calling, right? I got Skype to work on my after a Master Reset freed up a bunch of memory leaks.
Confirming that the latest Skype Android release works (as long as you're running 2.1). Well, that's the Voice and the messaging. No video (that I've been able to find), so far.
Indeed, with Skype running in the background, you can't tell it from the regular phone and messaging -- until you suddenly realize that the interface looks a wee tad (not so much as you'd notice) different.
No video, but I have called my kids unsing Skype non-video.
I am talking about TMobile App, which is currently available on certain phones ( Blackberry and Android).
I am pasting links below to give you an idea, what this app does..earlier this featuer was available through TMobile Hotspot but now TMobile has added an app on the phone, it uses your allocated monthly plan minutes but you are getting service through WiFi.

Okay, as I read that, Wi-Fi Calling is a functionality in and of itself and is distinct from simply having a Wi-Fi enabled phone. (They could have been a bit clearer on this.) I finally managed to get down to three pages identifying phones capable of Wi-Fi Calling that are available from T-Mobile. These do not appear to include the GARMINfone, which is not terribly surprising, since the GARMINfone is at least two-year old technology.
I have a G1 that has wifi calling, and my mother's garminfone does not
I now have a GS II and it does have WiFi calling.
