Market Client "Out of Date"

For overa a week now, Every time I try to open my apps Market I get a message saying "Your client is out of date and will update shortly."  But not actually getting the update.  Any ideas?

    Hi johnnymack1982,

It definitely sounds to me like your market is trying to update, but there might be something stopping. I would recommend going under settings, touching on applications, then manage applications, and touch on the All tab. Find the market in this list here and clear data, and if it gives you the option, uninstall updates, then reboot the Tab. After it reboots simply go into the market, and accept the terms and conditions again, and see if you can open your MyApps.

If you still receive the same error message, give it 24 hours, and try again. If that still occurs, I would call technical support and see how we need to escalate this for you.

    Hope this helps!

I had the same issue, the following steps fixed it!

    1. Manually download the latest android market by going to: http://goo.gl/l7C9p

    2. Click on "Multiupload mirror"

    3. Click on "Direct Download" next to Multiupload

    4. When the file completes download, open it and install it by clicking on the down arrow in the bottom right

    5. It will ask you to install over, agree to it

    6. That is all! The new and fully functional android market will work. If you open the older icon, it may come up with the error again, but then as soon as you click OK, it will show "market updated successfully" in the corner. I'm guessing this is what was supposed to happen at the beginning but google effed something up along the way.
