I have 3 bars signal and when I call it says phone is not registered to network. Att phone works from same location.
reboot the phone.
ATT & TMO are different networks, it doen't matter what an ATT phone is doing.
If you are still having the issue, I need a little more information in order to better assist you. Do you see a 4G, 3G, or 2G next to the bars? Is this issue only occurring in this one specific location or everywhere?
It doesn't have any of the 4G,3G or 2G. It has 3bars of signal though. Its in one location Princeton Tx at Lacy Elementry School
Im sorry the wi fi had to be turned off to see the G, thats all no number.
the building is probably blocking any data signal to the phone. see if it's any better outside or another location. 'G' is a very weak and slow data signal.
If it is only in one location, and you have had signal there before, a service request may need to be filed. Contact us, and we can make sure there are no known issue in the area, and file a service request if needed.
I have had the same problem and it has been in multiple locations. The first time it happened tmobile changed out 3 sim cards and then ordered a replacement phone. It has happened again since the new phone and I have found if I completely power down the phone and then restart the problem goes away. At least that has worked 2 times. My problem seems to be a phone problem instead of a cell tower issue.
I get the same behavior AND I know there is no t-mobile signal here at home because if I "search for networks'' the only one I see is AT&T.
Why would the mytouch phone show signal for a foreign network? It causes headaches all the time because it won't connect to wifi calling if it see a signal, unless I set the phone to use wifi calling exclusively. But then it tries to call over my work network and the quality is awful, sounds like a bad skype connection. The poor call quality is acceptable at home because it is better than NO calls!
I bought this phone because I get no t-Mobile signal at home, but didn't want to switch to AT&T or Sprint. But I think I'll have to if this can't be fixed.
