I bought my GS2 a few weeks ago and battery life has been awesome.....until yesterday. My battery started draining yesterday morning and was completely depleted after about 7 hours. The most recent thing I changed (I think) is updating my google music app. I looked on the android market and noticed one review of the "music" app was from a galaxy s2 owner who noticed a significant data usage increase after yesterday's update. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem???
There's always battery monitors and data monitors that you can install to check to see what's eating at your battery
reboot the phone to see if that helps. maybe a process got stuck during the app update.

You know, I actually think I fixed at least some of my battery drain issues by clearing Music data and uninstalling the updates. I have noticed significant improvement since uninstalling it.
Just to follow up, I can say with a high degree of certainty that removing the Google Music updates has made a significant improvement in battery life. It's not as good as before the update, but I am impressed with the results. Google Music shows up as an available update. Just ignore it (don't set market to automatically update). Also, clear your data from Google Music. Sign in if you need to listen to music, otherwise, clear your data afterward. This has worked for me, but obviously YMMV. If it makes any difference, I was able to quickly access Google Music by just signing in.
