when i dowload an app to my phone it automatically saves to my phone storage, how do i set it to save to the sd card instead?, my space is getting low on my phone and i have alot of free memory on my sd card but cannot access it.

I don't think she has a problem with moving them to the card. She wants to download them directly to the card, probably because there is no more room on the phone's internal storage. Unfortunately, I don't think there is any way to do that......Jake
Great question, and I will be happy to help. This is going to first vary on your software type. To check this you would press menu- tap settings-tap about phone-tap software information. The firmware or Android version is what you want. If you are not running 2.2.1 then you will need to follow the instructions in this link to update your software.
If you already have the 2.2.1, some applications save automatically to your SD card without you doing anything additional. Others do not. I have not been able to determine which will do this on their own. However to save applications to the SD Card all you have to do is press menu key -tap settings- tap applications- tap manage applications. The first tab will be for your downloads and you will have to tap on each application to see if it has the option to "move to SD card". Not all applications will be able to be moved, so keep this in mind as you are checking these. (ex. facebook)
