I sent back the Lumia 710 and picked up a myTouch. I was able to get it paired by bluetooth with my old lg 290c but cannot find anywhere to transfer the contacts to the new myTouch. Anybody with directions is appreciated. Could not find anything in the user manual or in support at T-Mobile.
Check in your MyTmobile account to see if you have any
of your contacts save in your Mobile Life account. If you do then
you just need to sync your phone with Tmobile.
Hi, a quick internet search shows your LG 290C is a non-T-Mobile phone that uses CDMA wireless technology (so, Sprint or Verizon). Did you just switch to T-Mobile? If so, congrats!
However, I don't know of an easy way to transfer contacts out of your LG 290c handset. Your old phone doesn't use a SIM card (where contacts can be stored), so you can't transfer your contacts to your new myTouch by LG that way. And I don't know anything about syncing contacts over a Bluetooth connection between those phones. Your old and the new phones are the same brand, but their operating systems are so different.
At least you won't have to re-enter your contacts on your new phone's touchscreen. You can enter them into your Google contacts list, in a web browser. To access contacts, log into Gmail, find the "Mail" menu on the upper left of the page, and change that to "Contacts". Then, if you are logged into your Google Account on your phone, those contacts will be synced to your myTouch.
Thanks for your helpful imput. After doing my own web search and not finding any happy information I elected to enter all my contacts individually and now have a complete contacts list.
Thanks for your help,
Hi @jimmyboy01, you're very welcome for the help. Sorry you had to go through the trouble of entering your contacts again!
