Any idea if Telenav is included with the Radar or with any particular plans? I went all the way to the point of being asked for my phone and did not find any details on fees. I know that Sprint includes Telenav with their unlimited plans, wanted to know if that is the case with this phone or plan.
If not, anyone have feedback on best navigation app to use?
mhammo, GPS apps are so helpful in today's world! At this time, Telenav is not included in any data plans as this is a 3rd party application that requires a subscription. Normally, Telenav has a 30 day trial period, when you say it asked for your phone do you mean your phone number??
Yes, that is correct, it asked me for my phone number. I did not want to enter it before I knew if I was going to be charged and how much.
Telenav is also a 3rd party for Sprint but is included in their unlimited plan. I also recently found out that for iPhone users it's only $10/year or $3/month. I would do the $10/year but have no interest at all for $10/month. I'll stick to Bing or Google for that price.
I'd go with Google Maps.
TeleNav can easily get confused (it once had me doing repeated u turns on a main highway in New Mexico). The TeleNav app comes preinstalled on Windows Phones (HTC HD7 & Radar 4G), but even with a free trial you'll be paying $10 a month for it eventually. Google Maps is free and does a great job getting you where you need to be.
Hope this helps!
Keith, there is no google maps app in windows phone. Are you referring to bing maps?
Google maps can be downloaded from the Marketplace. It is called, "gMaps."
