Anyone know how to or if there is an app for Android that allows you to block unknown numbers. I have received over 50+ calls from one unknown number, it's the same person over and over. I've tried to talk with T-Mobile's customer support, but they couldn't do nothing, went as far as getting the Police involved, suprise, nothing they can do either. I'm at my wits end. Please help
Have you tried adding the number to your contact list then go to settings to
see if there's a block caller option? I have this on my Sensation.
There's also an app on the market called Call Block that should work.
Can't do nothing because it's a unknown number. Police can't do nothing till they get a number.
Did you try *57 after one of the calls? That's supposed to activate a phone company-level trace of the call, which the police and/or T-Mobile can use to track down the culprit.
I know where you're coming from. I use to get calls like that, too. I wonder why customer support can't block the phone number for you. I've worked for a telecommunication company before and blocking is just as easy as pulling up your file and adding the phone number to your block list. That's it. And the person should not be able to call or send you text messages anymore.
But if they refused, you can simply google the steps on how to block the phone number from your handset. Don't forget to inlcude the make and model of your phone to get the most appropriate answer.
And one more thing, I suggest you report the phone number at http://www.callercenter.com. Once the phone number is posted at the consumer complaint site, everybody will see the phone number and let's see how they'd like getting anonymous calls, too.
I simply use an app call "call control" found in the market.
for the the g2 have the number in your contacts and then look it up like you were going to call that number push settings , view contact and settings options and check the box that says call will go strait to voicemail. it doesnt ring and you never know they called . maybe they might leave a message , but maybe that will help
