That is no good having the issue. I would be more than happy to help and look over some information for you. What type of e-mail account is this? (Yahoo, Comcast etc.) Sometimes it has to do with a setting for our incoming e-mail servers that can cause the problem.
Thanks for responding, Lucretia! I took a look at the email set-up directions on my ISP - Cox Communications - and found that I hadn't designated the connection port and type. Mine is an SSL Port on Port 995 for incoming mail and Port 465 for outgoing mail. More info can be found at Cox Mobile Email Settings
