i figured out how to get it to work. if you had the same problem as me where it is showing no image after flashing the zip, try rebooting the phone and then turning it off and putting it into the bootloader again. right when bootloader comes on you should see the list of options before it scans the file automatically. just press the power button once for the top option before those options disappear and it scans. if that doesn't work, back up your sd card and reformat your sd card to FAT32. then try again. that was how i got it to update. netflix works for me. some apps disappeared and you'll have to login to everything and do your settings for everything over again but not a big deal.

it means the official OTA update for everybody will be 2.3.4 (not the 2.3.3 we have from older refurbs) and that is probably the extra delay we see with the release.

can't wait to get it!

That is awesome!  I was hoping that was the reason for the delay.  That and fixing the bugs in 2.3.3

Since I installed this update my phone keeps launching car mode when I start my G2 and some times when I plug it in. It doesn't take me to the car mode screen, it just puts the icon in my notification bar. Also, whenever I make or receive a call the default is speaker. Any ideas? Other than that my phone is blazing fast compared to Froyo, thanks!

Thank you rodraf for the update, I installed it yesterday. I had a problem with the bootloader at first but after your replies and everyone else's as well. I was able to get it working. My phone seems to running much better now, but I have noticed that my battery seems to drain much faster than before, it's really not much of an issue for me. I'm just happy i was able to update.
