When a call comes in from a contact, only the number shows up, not the contacts name. Any help on solving this problem would be so appreciated! It's so frustrating not knowing who is calling! Thank you!
I am sure that is frustrating not having the name come up for you! What type of My Touch are you using? Is this the latest My Touch 4g? I would be more than happy to research for this you and a good starting point is the model of My touch currently being used.
Hi! I have the My Touch 4G slide. Have tried everything I can think of, but still only have number of person calling, even though they are in my contact list. Thanks!
Thanks Kathy, would you mind sending me a private message with your 10 digit mobile number so I may access your account and research this more in detail for you? This may be a provisioning issue or a sync issue. To send me a private message please click on my name and to the right you will see "send private message". We will get it taken care of so you are able to see the names of who is calling !
Are your contacts stored with the area codes along with the mobile numbers? This is required for the contact names to display correctly on this device.
Thank you!!! You are the best! Such a simple thing and it did the trick. You just made my day!!!!!
Glad I could help! Would you mind taking a second and marking your question answered for your fellow forum members? Thanks!
jared, can I ask one more detail? I was having the same issue and figured out it was that almost all of my contacts I imported from Google do not contain area codes, thus were not displaying on my caller id....so do I have to go into each contact and manually add an area code???? I hope not but I sure can't figure out another solution. I had a Cliq and it was never an issue and my husbands Droid doesn't require the area codes in order to display caller ID either...it's a pretty annoying issue. Thanks in advance for your help.
I can certainly empathize, as I had to do this when I switched from my Motorola DEFY to a different device. The only solution I know if is to manually update each contact. The good news is that you should only need to do it the one time, and if future contact additions are saved with the area code, you shouldn't run into this again with other new devices.
Thanks for the reply. I entered all the area codes so glad to know it wasn't time wasted if there was an easier fix. Thanks again.
