Often (not everytime) my phone says that a message has failed to send despite having full bars. Is anyone else having this problem and if so how can I fix it?
Its actually slightly more strange that what I said above because while the message says "failed" people seem to recieve the texts and reply. Any ideas about whats up?
I'm having the same problem with the failed text messages. I'm not sure if their being received, but I know that I've got full coverage but they're still failing. Really aggravating.
This too is happening to me, though I cannot confirm that recipients actually get the messages that failed to send. Resending causes repeated failures. Only a phone reboot fixes the problem but then it returns eventually. I have a couple days to return the phone and think I will actually do such very soon.
i've found that the failed message come mostly when you have written a text that is at 2 pages long. is this when yours is doing it or is it any amount of pages
Mine is also when I am sending two part text messages( more than 160 characters). I took my phone into a store and exchanged it and the new Exhibit II has the same issues so I am thinking its a firmware issue.
Can someone from T-Mobile please address this issue?
I have the same problem with this phone. I can send short text messages, but yes, same thing, long txt messages (that have two parts) can't be sent. I talked with t-mobile, and it looks like Samsung knows about this issue but doesn't have a solution yet. Not sure what else to tell you, but it seems like they're looking into it.
i get txt msg failures a lot too, even when the text is 3 words, so it's not a matter of how lengthy the text is...
mine was doing the same thing I went to the tmobile store and got a replacement> I have not had the same issue since.
is there a fix to this? i also have the same issue!
I had this problem start today come to think of it - just before it went down due to a DUS600 error.... I currently have "no service" and it's "not registered on the network". I've been trying to resolve this issue for almost 12 hrs now.... We'll see what happens.
Yes I'm having this problem very frequently. I can send a few messages back and forth with a person and then it just starts failing repeatedly.
ETA: It's not just with long messages that this occurs.
When a message wont send i call my voice mail then while im still on the line i go back to my messages then i resend it and it goes through then i click the call. its a hassel to go through all that process just to be able to text!
Jeez, I'm glad that works for you, but it's a completely unsustainable solution. Especially since I'm on the prepaid plan with only 100 minutes. I'm not wasting those precious minutes just to sent a text message. Samsung/T-Mobile needs to figure this out.
Have any of you used the "clear memory" button in the RAM tab of task manager? I found using that caused text messages to start failing to send, until I restarted the phone.
