With an iPhone on tmo,you'll only get edge,no 3g,or 4g
I don't think getting an iphone 4S unlocked is worth it. If you don't want to wait, I say get another plan with another carrier. just my 2 cents
Just to clarify - the software update to enable wifi calling on SGSII and Amaze is not going to be available 11/13, but will be coming in the near future.

EDGE = 2G
your right its a matter of choices...u like APPLE..good..you like ANDROID fine...in both ways they work fine its a matter only of software and how it performs!!!! as a total..its still both a CELLPHONE. whatever u may call it. ..android and iphone works perfectly depending on your choice of hardware!! and your lifestyle..
This should make the choice easy:
Smartphone of the year Vs Iphone 4s ...
pay attention to the last bit...
just look how i4s plays catch up in almost all case, some by a margin.
Well, it is rumor that the 1.2 samsung processor offers better graphic performance in practical task vs the added graphic chip that we have. Yet, none review (that I watched after purchasing my S2 - so u know where i stand) had ever showed that our T-mobile version is slower. As a matter of fact, one of the review i watched do a bench application and T-mobile version actually out does the "others" by a small bit of margin ( which makes sense because we have higher speed processors). The snapdragon chip we have is very decent, at least, decent enough for Sam Sung that they do release T-mobile S2 version as a spec of the Galaxy series in other parts of the world.
Excuse me for my grammar, I just type as thoughts flow through my mind, no flame intended . I hope u'll find a phone that you love enough to harass it every day.
Is this turning into a android vs iphone battle? haha
I've seen a lot of 3G Sprint complaints and have personally had issues with slow 3G on the Epic 4G TOUCH (The Sprint version of the SGS2). 4G is better (but not as fast as Verizon 4G LTE or T-Mobile's 4G if you can get it at close to full strength) but you won't get that with the Spint iPhone.
That's all I've seen on other forums. People who switched to Sprint for the iphone who are now complaing about their slow 3G.
I own a Sprint device as well. Sprint 3G is slow, however, I have better voice coverage with Sprint. There are trade-offs with every carrier. Since I carry a Verizon 4G Moto Xoom with free tethering I don't worry about data on the phone being really fast.
T-Mobile 3G isn't all that great either but wherever I get T-Mobile 4G it excels. For price T-Mobile and Sprint are better. Corporate discounts help make Sprint competative with regular T-Mobile.
Realistically the iPhone 4S on AT&T vs SGS2 on T-Mobile is the only real comparison since only on AT&T will you get comparable data performace. AT&T will cost more and iPhone uses the more restrictive iOS with a smaller screen, however, there are a greater number of quality iOS Apps and Apple is very quick to stamp out defective or malicous apps.
I personally prefer the SGS2 but you really can't go wrong with either device (just have to tolerate the sometimes less than stellar AT&T customer support) but both carriers have good, relatively stable networks with decent coverage (AT&T being more widely available and more likely to work better indoors).
