I don't have the data plan...just got the phone for the camera, video and small stuf, but this phone has nothing on it like any games, no alarm, etc...HELP!! Should i return it?
Yes, the phone has an alarm clock. Click on the clock icon and you will see the settings for the alarm. This phone has pretty much anything you need for communication and entertainment. It's a current high end smartphone. If you want a basic phone then yes return it but if you do that you are regressing back. I think once you use this phone for a few days it's a keeper.
thank you so much for letting me know!! It's my first smart phone. very hard to work so far. i have no idea where to get the free games or anything
No problem! Congrats on getting into the Smartphone World. You can get free games from the Android Market. You will need a Gmail account to get signed into the Market. You can create one easily if you don't have one.
you have become my new best friend!! Ok, i have gmail. and i am at honme that has wifi. How cna i connect..tech suport is super slow in getting bakc ot me on this
If you are home and using wifi you will need the network key to connect, unless your wifi is not secure. If you drag the notification bar down from the top portion of the screen you should see a wifi icon. Click on that and it will prompt you to connect to the wifi network that it found. You can also go to wifi by using the menu key/settings/wifi/. You may want to break out the manual that came with the phone to familiarize yourself with some of the basic features.
got the wifi set up, but i entered my gmail and it says it can't connect
was able to set my alarm!! yeah!! i fell better already!!
That's good that you are getting it setup. Once you get gmail setup and get into the market you will really see what's available for games.
oh i figured it out!! Yeah, ok, how do you delete downloads or take of fyour short cuts?
You should really search google for beginners' tutorials for Android. A five minute youtube video could save you hours of waiting for answers here. As for removing icons from the homescreen, press and hold until the phone vibrates and the bottom dock turns into a trash can, and then drag that icon to the trash. To add an icon, open up the app drawer (icon on bottom right) and hold the app you want until the homesreen appears and then place where you'd like.
And you can delete apps from the Android Market. Push the Menu key (bottom left button on your screen) while in the Market and select 'My Apps'. Then you can select an app that you have installed. Then it will show you 'Open' and 'Uninstall' buttons for most of them. Some apps T-Mobile restricts you from uninstalling.
You'll see if you play around with stuff on the phone you will get to know it. There really isn't too much you can break by browsing through the menus and all. It's an easy system and you'll find that you will get used to it soon.
