When I try to delete my contacts from my sim card it tells me "sim card error." Anyone know how to reformate my sim card??
You wouldn't want to reformat a sim card because you would loose all the information used to register your phone on the network.
I just want to delete my contacts. They are getting in the way.
What are they getting in the way of?
Text messages mainly.I have the sane contacts saved multiple times and it's too confusing . I'll see the same person come up 5 xs
Are your contacts saved to Google? If so, Go into contacts, hit menu, then view, uncheck SIM and Phone (and any other sources you don't want to see as contacts.)
I'd recommend Google as your primary source of contacts. You will have a single source, backed up to the cloud, with PC management. Your contacts are available on your phone and instantly sync'd to the cloud. If your phone breaks, or is lost or stolen, you still have your contacts. If you change phones or even carriers, your contacts remain with you as Google Contacts.
Have you tried going to your MyTmobile account and going to Mobile Life and then contacts.
Select the contact you want to delete then sync try syncing your contacts to your phone.
I hve done that but they are still available for selection. If I start a new next message it gives me the option . I have deselected it but it wont go away. urg
The only thing I cant find is when I'm on google, where you write: " hit menu, then view, uncheck SIM and Phone (and any other sources you don't want to see as contacts.)"
I'm in my contacts but I dont see where you are referencing
If you go into contacts, hit the setting key next to the home icon, select view and finish
what he told you to do.
Maybe it's because I have a mac but there is no "home icon" so I don't know.
You need to do this from the phone.
Oh, now that I understand I can say that I already did that. LOL. thanks for the help regardless
I got a new phone. I think my problem was a contact problem between phone and simm card. Sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't. Any t-mobile store should replace it for free if it's not working properly. Otherwise try pushing the card toward the battery after it's installed. Not much room to do it but my card did work better when I tried that. Good luck.
