Celebrating the anniversary. One month ago today, tim from T-M said:
We are actively looking into alternatives for Mac users and we will announce anything as soon as it is available. Thank you very much for your patience.
Don't be holding your breath.
I know I won't be expecting any presents for this anniversary.
I'm sorry that there hasn't been anything new to report on this front. It is still a topic of discussion on our end but we have yet to find an alternative for those of you who only have access to Mac computers. However, we are still looking for possibilities and will report anything that becomes available.
so t-mobile support made me pay $20 for a warranty replacement - which is BS
i was so angry but i go the feeling they do not care if customers leave.
and it did not include a battery - just the phone!
it still reboots dailly even with GB, so do i have to pay another $20 for another phone?
so they are sending me another battery to preplace this one which is bad - it gets warm during charging.
now what do i do with a replacement GB G2X that still reboots? a randomly rebooting phone is not a very good phone at all.
i am never buying a non-nexus android phone again.
Hey mac did you see tht football game last night.
ok mac discusion done for today.
OK, OK, I get this complainig, but can someone answer a serious question. The links to the drivers on the download upgrade don't even work for me. What gives? I downloaded the drivers before, but decided to wait for the OTA update instead.
Based upon all this hoopla, I'm not feeling too comfortable using the potentially old drivers in order to update my phone. I really do want GB, though. Help? Tim?
there arent newer drivers i anm aware of. anyone??
I actually figured it out, apparently the links only work in Internet Explorer. I just updated today, thanks.
LG has pulled the update from it's server, according to the Tech Support guy I spoke to about 40 minutes ago. Even if you downloaded the drivers earlier, it still will check the server for the download and then give you an error.....just happened to me.
Cool - now Tim can work with T-Mobile to find a solution for PC users too!
Tired of waiting for NOTHING to be done about this, I dug my pc out of the closet, downloaded the software and started the update, only for the piece of sh** software to tell me that my phone is not supported (and it's not refurbished) and then that I already have the most recent version. I DO NOT HAVE THE MOST RECENT VERSION. If something isn't done about this soon, I will NOT stay with T-mobile. I am not able to do what I want with this phone. I'm getting fed up with this. What's the excuse??? I just want what I paid for, A CURRENT PHONE! I've been with you guys for over 6 years, make something happen, this is the worst experience that I've had so far!
This phone has been a cluster **** since Day One.
Well when I checked for the software update yesterday it said that I had to latest version and now today it says connection failed. I am still running off of 2.2.2 android version so I have no idea why it was saying I had the latest version. I am assuming that the rollout for the OTA is coming in waves so that the servers do not get jam packed with a whole lot of people trying to download the software update at the same time.
I'm having the same problem. If this update doesn't happen and fix all the problems, it will go down in history as being the worst purchase i've ever made....and i've made some bad ones.
