Not outdated yet ...

deacon

with the Sensation and 4G Slide both having better "insides" and such ... i'm still very much pleased with the 4G even in comparison ... i've gone to TMO stores and got some time with the Sensation and it didn't jump out at me as a phone i had to upgrade to because it was so much better than the 4G.

it was cool but i'm still pleased with my Vader Edition 4G.

altough i wish the 4G had the camera that the 4G Slide is coming with ... and the dual core too lol

Me too.  My wife has the Motorola Cliq 2 because she wanted a keyboard, and at first I thought the screen was better but now I'm envious of her keyboard.  Honestly, the MT4G Slide looks perfect in just about every way and I'll probably be buying one soon for myself!

it does look good ... but i migrated away from physical keyboards ... can't go back to 'em now.  lol  i found myself never really using the keyboard on my other Slide phones so i went without and prefer phones without now.

still, i wish the 4G had all the goodies that the 4G Slide has....if they get a phone with that camera, the dual core and without a keyboard i'm all over it.

My position has been that the MT4G is such a good phone, that it will not be outdated until it cannot run newer versions of the OS (which is different from whether it will get them) or cannot support newer apps, regarless of what newer and better specs come along. The CliqXT became outdated because the 1.5 OS was no longer supported and it couldn't run the majority of new apps. It will be a long time before that happens to the MT4G.

Shared sentiment to the T about the keyboard at least Deacon. I am reading the woes of Sensation users and am glad my MT4G is working crisply so far. I'll have to read more into the MT4GS for the hooplah.

Oh hecks no Deacon, I'm a touchscreen junkie for life now. And after downloading today's Amazon Free App SwiftKey X... WOOOOOOOW.  I can't see getting a keyboard that I will never, ever use. Specs withstanding... myTouch is just that... myTouch. ;-)

It's the first phone that it took me over 2 months to return/send back for something faulty. I just returned it for buttons sticking in July. I really love this phone immensely depsite it still feeling heavier than the Cliq XT and to me, the G1.

heavy?? really? i dont think it's all that heavy especially heavier than the G1 .. no way

Might be my "old her" tendonitis having wrists that make it feel as such. I'm not parting with the weight any time soon. ;-)

One of the things I like about the MT4G is the weight of it. It feels hefty, but isn't bulky. When I carry smaller phones, I tend to "lose" them in my pockets, making me look like a fool ten times a day when I call myself to locate it and my back pocket rings.
