here's the official link to the news as well ..
the dates have been changed from May 31 (tomorrow) to June 4 .. so start updating on June 4
Thanks Deacon. TMONews does state that their info is unofficial.
Excellent news! The day before I get the friendly skys
I returned my htc one s because of the various issues and wonder if any of you have experience with updates being released while a phone is stil being sold.
That is, if I buy the phone sometime in late June, should I expect/argue that the update should be installed? Curious because I really had a bad signal experience with the first one.
Im pretty sure they will be installing this on all new phones from the factory by June 4th, if they arent doing so already. Seems like the document indicates that if your phone shows it has latest software model # version there is no need for the upgrade- that suggests there are phones in stores that may have the updated software already.
Finally the update has come... but what date is this 6/41/2012, makes me wonder if my Grammar School, High School, and College teachers were messing with me all these years..
Well, it's now June 4 and when I tell my phone to check for updates ... it says that there are none:( #impatient
exactly. Its bad enough they pushed it back 5 days, but its still not available after the delay.
Still waiting on this Update, hope its not delayed again
Its June 4th. My phone says "no update available". This phone is unusable with it's poor signal. Might as well just buy a battery for my G2 and return the One S.
hey its the waiting game, as i stated on a different thread, its 3:16 pm here no update on my phone, sucky sucky.
You are all just going to love this. According to the tech I was working with, we are going to have to wait for the OTA update notification before we can download. The wording on the website regarding manual download immediately is incorrect. You can only do that in the case where maybe you accidentally dismissed the OTA notification. He tells me that most notifications are received within 72 hours:(
Yeah, I was starting to think that too. Thanks for the update.
thnxs craigmjamieson, i just needed some info on this, so its now time to wait
