I have become very irritated by the typos in my texts, you know I touch the 'p' and get a 'o', etc. So I have been attempting to install "speech-to-text" apps. My latest try is GoSMS Pro. Can anyone tell me why when I speak a text message, it puts a long URL in the message box and ignores what I say?
Are all "speech-to-text" apps incompatible with my device?
I have gone through numerous settings, both with the native text app and with GoSMS Pro, and still no joy.
In the app's settings, I see references to entering MMSC, manual APN configuration, manual User Agent. Unfortunately, I have no clue what this means or where to find that data. I have been trying to find some help with the app developers but that is not working either.
I had 1 app that would produce a text from my voice & send it, but I could not find the feature to respond to a text with my voice, that 1 went bye-bye!
All told, smartphones are not my favorite tech toy, and I don't understand why everything is so hard to find and there is no intuitiveness about accessing the various settings for anything. When I touch the menu button on the front of my phone from the home screen, I should be able to access anything anywhere on that phone. I'll be really glad when this 2 year contract is up.
