My battery suddenly started draining VERY rapidly. I've checked for background applications and did all the power conserving steps recommended. My Tmobile store gave me a new battery, but still not working. At the same time this problem started, the phone stopped syncing my email. I deleted the email account and set it up again. Same problem. It tries to sync and gets stuck. I suspect that the battery may be draining because the phone keeps trying to sync. The only way I can get it to stop is to shut down and do a battery pull. Of course, as soon as I try to get email, it gets stuck again. Anybody else having these problems?
What kind of email is this? Have you tried resetting the device?
It's an AOL imap account, but I'm also having the same problem with my work email (also imap). I've not reset the device, other than doing the battery pull. I wasn't sure if I'd lose all my other set ups.
let me refer you to this post. don't reset. don't reformat. don't stand on your head. don't reinstall. it's not your fault. there is an update out but tmobile isn't pushing it.
Were you able to resolve your issue? If the device is still depleting the battery too quickly than I would

Thanks for the feedback. The battery drainage has stopped ... until I try to link to email, which still doesn't work. No matter though, they're replacing the device under warranty.
Thanks. Tmobile is sending me a replacement device.
