It's funny, but my G2x worked perfectly when it was on Froyo.
All of my phone's problems began with the update to Gingerbread.
Random reboots. Crashes, lock ups, not to mention the loss of the perfect LG camera App that came with it and was the main reason that I had purchased the phone. And in spite of what I've been told by reps, no combination of third party camera apps can replace that original one. Not even close.
I have been unhappy with this phone ever since.
Too bad. Mine worked perfectly before the "upgrade". lol
Just a note, they did work on the Stock Camera App and it is a lot better than it was in the 2.3.4 being pushed.
So did I, kimosey. This is a bad, bad phone, and I was so happy when it first hit the market. I couldn't wait to get it! What a bad decision. My phone turns itself off whenever it pleases, so I miss important calls. I do not run any fancy apps or have any add ons. I am a simple person who just makes and receives calls and texts. I have only the original apps and no downloaded apps, and I have received and accepted all updates - the most recent was 2 days ago. My phone still feezes on its own, and I don't know this until I pick it up to make a call and find it frozen. I have to remove the battery to restart it. Sometimes it completely shuts down on its own, but the freezing is most common - it happened less than 24 hours ago. I restart my phone every morning, so it is done every 24 hours. Once my 2 years is up, I will get rid of this lemon and go back to a simple phone with no data plan. Thank you, LG, for giving me a bad enough experience to make me realize that I am wasting my money.
