Has anyone stumbled on any official documentation that states if the HTC One S includes 5Ghz N support in the WiFi radio? It isn't finding my 5Ghz access point, so I can assume no but it also could mean that it just isn't compatible with my access point.
Some specs are listed here: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-4261
They state that it supports 802.11 b/g/n, but 802.11a is not listed. 802.11a uses the 5 GHz spectrum, so the lack of that support on the tech sheet likely indicates that it also does not support 802.11n running at 5 GHz.
I have a NETGEAR N600 router (model WNDR3700). The HTC One S sees the 2.4 GHz network, but not the 5 GHz network on this router. My other smart phone (HTC Radar 4G) also does not see the 5 GHz network.
not sure... but i clocked 20MB/s download speeds via wifi and my router with this phone. That's up about 10MB/s from what my wife's myTouch4g gets.
