Hello fello T-Mobilers!
I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile in early February...went with the HTC RAdar Windows phone and love it everywhere but at my house. Very seldom can I make a call /text unless I am standing on a chair in the dining room pointing at the moon/sun. I understand T-Mobile does not offer Wifi calling for Windows phone. Is that accurate? Anybody have any other suggestions to improve service?
I'm sorry you're having problems getting signal at your house. It is true that no Windows Phone device we currently offer has Wi-Fi calling. There are a few troubleshooting steps in Signal troubleshooting: Windows Mobile devices that you can try to ensure the issue is with coverage. We also have our T-Mobile TakeAction site where you can provide information about your wireless coverage and stay up to date with coverage enhancements.
Thanks for joining T-Mobile!
I'm interested in the WIFI calling for my HTC windows 6.5 phone. I don't see how to get the application for this feature. Windows marketplace has closed as of June 9, 2012. I have a unlocked world gsm phone. Does t-mobile have this app available for download somewhere?
As far as I know T-Mobile has not applied for this modification thru MicroSoft. I have searched and searched, asked and asked and there is no app available. It is very frustrating not to have phone service in your house thru WIFI Calling. Please let me know if you come across anything. Thanks!
For everyone who wants WiFi Calling on Windows Phone, let Microsoft KNOW.
Type in "T-Mobile WiFi Calling Support" and 'like' all T-Mobile/WiFi Calling related threads. This will get Microsoft's attention if we can get it into the thousands.
As of right now, there are at least 2 FREE, WiFi calling/video calling apps out there. Check out Tango by HTC, and Skype (recently purchased by MS). There are a few free 'push to talk' apps like 'HeyTell' and 'Talk to Me' as well. There's even an app to turn your Radar into a we can, haven't tried it yet though. Keeps your eyes on the Marketplace. I find new stuff every day..
