I just bought a used HTC Radar 4G.
I reset everything and started updating it using Zune.
When the phone is connected to the computer,
I got a message saying my phone is locked and so unlock the phone using my SIM card number.
This is my first smartphone and third T-Mobile phone.
I have never been asked to insert the SIM card number except for the first one.
Without Zune, I cannot update my phone and others.
There shouldn't be any request for a SIM card number when completing the update. I've successfully completed the update without a SIM card in the device. Have you tried completing the update without the SIM card in the device? Also, what software and firmware versions are you running on your device?
Thanks for posting to the Community!
I am not sure i am understanding. Do you have the sim card in the whole time? Is this issue resolved?
The T-mobile store resolved my issues.
I just brought my phone to the T-mobile store and told them the symtoms.
My phone was reset by the store and after this I do not have any problems with my phone.
@ Ian: I have never tried the updates without my sim card.
@ Drew: I have my sim card in the whole time.
I am so glad the issue has been resolved! Let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.
