I'm curious to understand why this update is being detected by my myTouch 4G when the title explicitly reflects that it's intended for the myTouch Q? Today marks the second time that the update triggered the respective notification within a month's period.
I just want to include the exact message that appears at the top of the Apps list regarding this update:
"Your device isn't compatible with this version."
Discussion successfully moved from Plans and Services to T-Mobile myTouch 4G
Ok, I admit this is confusing.
Can you provide:
Is anyone else with the device seeing this happen?
Hello, sorry for the delay. Here's the info:
Today, my device detected this update, again.
Thank you. I'm honestly not sure what would cause this, because the myTouch 4G (by HTC) updates are completely unrelated to myTouch Q (by LG).
Your IMEI is not in a range that should get myTouch Q updates as far as I know. But, I am giving your info here to the team who works on update pushes.
Can you tell me when you receive this message to update your application? Is it when you access the application or is it coming from the Marketplace?
Neither one. I don't use this application and I infrequently visit the Marketplace. Now and then, an icon would simply appear in the Notification Bar indicating an update was available in the Marketplace. And upon following the notification, I would learn that it was for this app, which is incompatible with my device. Thanks.
I received this notification on my myTouch4G as well, this past Sunday. The interesting thing is, the icon that was associated with the notification was NOT the Google Play or Amazon Marketplace, but one that I associate with my launcher - GO Launcher.
Still, it took me to Google Play, where I was informed that "Your device isn't compatible with this version."
Thank you for telling us vikingbro. I have sent willy's report to the teams who would need to look into this. for me to add yours, can you please give me:

Sure. Could you give me a secure e-mail address to send this information?
It's not highly personal, but yes we have a secure email inbox you can use that only support teams can see if you prefer .
Please send it to T-Force
Add a note that the info is for tmo_mikem.
Thanks for the e-mail address.
I have sent a message with the subject ATTN: tmo_mikem.
Thank you. I got the email and sent it to the team looking into willy's problem. You may be contacted separately by somebody from their team if they need additional info from you as they investigate.
I wish to add this:
Please note: I have Go Launcher installed.
* New folder
* Hide app
* Settings * App manager
The last one has a superscript "2" (white foreground in a red circle) to its right. When this option is selected, the "My Apps" tab is shown with installed apps listed. I left swipe to view the "Update app" tab, which lists two apps with pending updates; the updates are for: * Accounts sync [with an Update time of 2011-12-01] * T-Mobile TV [with an Update time of 2012-01-16]
Selecting the 2nd one takes me to GooglePlay & the update's title becomes "T-Mobile TV for myTouch Q only". In GooglePlay, the "All" tab does not even list any app beginning with "T-Mobile TV" and my device does indeed have it installed & yet the "Update" tab lists "T-Mobile TV for myTouch Q only". This is very odd.
