Can i upgrade my US Contract Samsung Galaxy s2 to ics using kies safely ?
I read it doesn;t work with contract ones is that ture?
No US Galaxy S II has the update yet. Period.
There are plenty more threads on this topic. Just scroll down and read.
Not to be rude but when new people come on here just to ask about ICS and start a new thread, I swear it reminds me of 6 people standing in the lobby in front of an elevator. Then here comes person number 7 and what do they do as soon as they get there? Push right through the crowd and hit the call button for the elevator. SMH.
So what you are saying is there is no ICS update? /end sarcasm
Ugh. Too many of these threads.
Agreed, sticky a 'When hell freezes over is when you can expect ICS to be released' and lock it down.
Seriously! Everyone acts like T-Mobile announced an ICS update or promised it within a certain time period, which never happened; nor is the SGH-T989 like the GT-i9100 in any way, (mainly) shape, or (slightly) form. Name is the same but it's a totally different device, and we still have NO IDEA when ICS is coming to this device.
Not even XDA has a very good ICS for this phone. There's a few ROMs based on the Skyrocket leak, but those still have all kinds of issues.
We've had a lot of posts about if and when the Samsung Galaxy S II will get the Ice Cream Sandwich update. To ensure we have all the information in the same place, we are locking down all threads and redirecting everyone to the main discussion ICS update for the T-Mobile Galaxy S II.
We also have some more information about Android software updates in Software updates for Android.
Thank you for your understanding!
