Is it possible to establish a default font size when browsing the web? Example: When browsing a forum, such as this one from the SII, you must constantly be stretching the screen in order to read the small lettering. Does the SII have the capability of establishing a default font size so that when a web page pops up, it is readable?
I used Fontomizer SP. You can select your Fonts and it will replace all the fonts on the phone including the one for the browers.
1. Download app
2. Open app and select the font(s) you want on the phone
3. Download the font(s) of your choice (Each Font gives you a preview of the Font)
4.Go to Setting>Display>Screen Display>Font
All the downloaded fonts will be there and just try them out until you find the ones that suite your taste.
P.S I like the Old Newspaper Types!
My question was regarding font size, not actual font. When opening an app, the print is so small one cannot read it. By enlarging with thumb and fore finger, you can make it bigger. My question is: Can you make the print a default size that will be the same for whatever app. is opened? Say for example this forum, when opening it on the SII, the print is very small. Can you set a default size, so that when you open, you do not have to enlarge with your fingers?
Great I complete understand your question you have 2 options.
Go to the browers Go to Settings and select the Default Zoom level or Change the default fonts.
I'm sure by your response you didn't even try changing the Font. The reason I even posted the Font size is because each one of them are different sizes. So I figured that would be the easiest and best option.
I am using default browser. Will this work? I don't see anything under settings from my home screen that says "default zoom" level.
Hit the little button on the bottom Left that looks like papers. Click on More then go to Settings.
We still must not be talking about the same thing. I changed the setting from "medium" to "close". Nothing changed on the web page...print was still so small was unreadable. Had to spread thumb and forefinger to magnify enough to read. I guess there is no way to do this.
I've gone through this before my friend. Try downloading the app and changing the font. You will see a difference then I promise you.
Make sure that you have the settings on the bottom of the page set to Mobile not Classic too.
Still not sure we are talking about the same thing. In my case, I have opened a website, not an application). It happens to be the University of Virginia basketball forum. When the page opens, the type is so small it's unreadable, etc.. I'm not disputing you, i'm just ignorant about these things. Can what I want to do, be done when opening a website rather than an application?
I've covered everything I know on how to change the size of the font. The website may be just set up by default to use such a small font.
O.K. I think I've got it! I followed your instruction when the website opened. I have zoom set to "close" and at least the text is readable. I'd like it larger, but this will do. Thanks, so much for your help.
Awesome glad I could help.
I still think you should give changing the fonts a try. Just like in Microsoft Office/Word some fonts are by default larger than others.
I guess not. I thought it was solved. I closed out of web, went back in and type was miniscule again. Same with CNN and Accuweather. Type is so small initially that I doubt that a font change would enlarge it enough to make it readable.Do you think a change of font would enlarge that much. It's not a big deal to "unsqueeze" to enlarge, was just hoping for a solution. Thanks again for trying to help. If you come up with anything else, let me knot.
Yes. A change of font added to changing the default brower to close will significantly improve the size. Your choice though.
