Is that the black version? I read that the black version has the micro arc oxidation finish and is not available on T-Mobile. Is this one going to make it to T-Mobile?
The version TMO will get has the micro arc so don't worry I'd chalk it up to it being just a picture that has no relevance to the finish .. you'll get the oxidation finish for sure. I havent' even heard of a One S variant that doesn't have the micro arc.
The only reason I was questioning it was the information I gathered from the Engadget and this review. That led me to believe that the version on T-Mobile is not going to have the MAO finish.
i read those too .. even read the speculation before about some versions not having it ... that was a cool feature of the One S ... more digging i will do
okay so the Gradient Blue One S is what TMO customers will be able to get on April 25 and that version doesn't have the micro arc .. you are correct in assuming the black One S does however, that version is only on the global One S variant ..
i'm hoping that TMO will get the black one with micro arc though .. or make a micro arc Gradient Blue (which is the color i prefer lol)
Thanks for the digging. I guess that makes the decision process a little easier. I like the Gradient Blue also and from what I've read is that we might be better off without the MAO, although HTC has claimed to have fixed the process.
I came in here looking for the answer about if the black would be available so thanks for the info on that. I was hoping for the black.
I read the same thing though, the "ceramic" finish of the MAO sounded awesome but a few reviews of the int'l version sounded like it scratches easily and might be slippery. guess we'll have to wait and see.
Ok, but is T-Mobile getting the black one ever? The blue/grey is just hideous.
The chips in it where just a process defect in the first run.
HTC says they fixed that.
With the colors I kinda like them looks nice.
Usually have black phones and welcome the change.
