I need help. I have very very poor signal/connectivity, dropped calls, problems sending and receiving pictures. I purchased my phone in Illinois just before moving to Phoenix AZ. They checked and said my area has great coverage and I have been on the website many times too and it shows great connection. But I drop calls with almost every call I make and almost every where I am. I took my phone into a t-mobile store within in 3 weeks of moving here/buying it and they said it was because I had the wifi on and some other stuff that I do not remember. Nothing they did made a difference. This is my ONLY phone!! I then tried to call the help line and of course could not get through due to dropped calls. So I finally when on the live chat help. The person I talked to asked for my address and the address of my work and then said they had outages at both locations and many more in the area. She also stated that they were working on the problem, but had know way of knowing how long it would take to fix. The person also told me I should be able to get out of the contract because of this without penalties. So I went to a t-mobile store and told them this and they said I would have to call customer service and that I would probably be able to get out of the contract. So I found an area with coverage and called them. The person I talked to said I would have to pay a huge fee to get out unless there was a note from a technician about the problem and there was not. So I asked to talk to a supervisor who was busy but was supposed to call me back soon. So I waited in the good area for over an hour, and then had to go. That was about a week ago and no one has called me back. I have been with t-mobile for a very long time and never thought they would treat a customer like this. My phone is almost worthless and as you can imagine this is extremely frustrating. My boyfriend works for weeks at a time out of town so this is our main communication, and since moving here and getting the new phone we can hardly talk!! Any words of advice about how to go from here? I have a brand new phone and cellular carrier that are worthless. Oddly I can always send pictures to facebook even when I can't send or recieve them otherwise. And yes I know I can't do that with wifi on. I only have wifi on when I am at home, because that gives me the best chance of being able to talk on my phone. Also I can almost always send and recieve written texts.
