I followed the instructions posted at http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-2742 as instructed by a chat representative. However, no matter where I am, I no longer have data connectivity (outside of wi fi). What can I do?
Forgot to mention, it's also ~14 months old.
Is this issue happening in a specific location or everywhere? Is the phone able to connect to 2G (GSM)?
Thanks for your reply! It occurs everywhere I go. When I selected GSM only, it still didn't connect.
If the issue is happening everywhere, we need to figure out if your device or SIM card is the issue. If you have access to another T-Mobile phone, place you SIM in that device. If the issue follows the SIM card, that lets us know the SIM card needs to be replaced. If you are able to connect in the other phone, that lets us know your Sidekick is the issue. If you determine your phone is the issue, perform a master reset. If the master reset does not correct it, that shows us your phone is defective and needs to be replaced.
I tried the SIM in another T-Mob phone. It worked there. I have already performed a master reset. What's the next step?
If the master reset does not correct it, that shows us your phone is defective and needs to be replaced.
