I'm sorry to hear your still experiencing problems sending out texts. Although T-Mobile does not guarantee functionality of non T-Mobile phones, we should be able to get this working for you. What happens when you try to send a text? If you are receiving an error message, try reprogramming the SMSC number with the steps below:
Add service center number
(These steps are for the V195, but they should be similar to your device):
At main screen, press the Message Center key.
Press the Menu key.
Scroll to and select Inbox Setup.
Scroll to and select Text Msg Setup.
Scroll to Srvce Center No. and select Change.
Select Phone or SIM.
If the number does not read +12063130004, delete all characters and type +12063130004.
Press and hold the 0 key to generate a + sign.
Turn the phone off, then on again.
Let me know if this helps!
Thanks for trying to help.
Yes, I do get an error message: "Unable to send. In Outbox retry later."
My Srvce Center No. is the one listed above. No change required.
I added a + sign right after the number 4 (if I'm reading your instructions correctly). Then OK. Then Done.
Turned the phone off and then back on. Problem still exists. Checked the Srvce Center No. and the + sign was gone.
Added + sign back and tried to send a Text without first turning off the phone. No success.
Tried saving to both Phone and SIM. No success.
Inbox Setup does not show in Message Center. When you are in Message Center press the Menu key, which is the black one above the scroll up key, with the horizontal bars. (I had to go to the manual to figure out which was the Menu key.) This will get you to the Message Center Menu. You should find Inbox Setup there.
