Hi I just upgrade mi micro sd card from the original 8 gb to a 32 gb class 10 kingston. Everithing was fine until I tried to load it with music. Suddenly it unmounted by itself and I had to open the cellphone and took the sd card out and inserted again, so it works. Now everytime I try to download a heavy app it unmounts by itself. I took off of the phone and used a micro sd card reader and it worked very well. It looks like its an issue with the phone what can I do to solve this problem??
Thanks in advance
is it formatted correctly? There has been issues with sme 32gb micro sd cards. try going to the HTC website for issues with 32gb cards. here's one that might help:
I'm not trying to make a sales pitch, but I'm just saying, Sandisk cards always work .
Thank you rocco76 I will try formatting, and Ill upload the results of it. and I will consider that the next time I buy an sd card darnell
T-Mobile pretty much always pre-loads their devices with Sandisk memory cards, and occasionally Samsung. Sandisk and Samsung are the most tested brands, however...
T-Mobile and HTC do not guarantee compatibility between all devices and all third-party memory cards. I really hope that reformatting helps.
If you're ever in the market for buying phone accessories not from T-Mobile, I would suggest asking the T-Mo or HTC forums what models other customers are using successfully. I picked up a 32 GB Sandisk microSDHC for $30 that works in all HTC and Samsung models I've tried it in. I'm sure somebody here could link you to one they use, if you need.
Well I am looking at my original Sensation 4G 8GB microSD card and it is a Kingston class 4. I am currently using a 32GB class 10 with no problems. It is a store brand from Micro Center.
I also checked mi original sd card and its a kingston thats why I bought a 32 gb kingston as well. Unfortunately I already format and run the disk check for errors and nothing came up wrong but it keeps unmounting. Now I will try to format in exfat instead fat32 and Ill see what happen. Thanks for your suggestions guys!!
Oh, I didn't know they changed brands on what was included in Sensation 4Gs. Sometimes depending on how much stock they have, they will switch memory card brands. My own Sensation came with a Sandisk.
I believe you that it came with a Kingston, and also after checking internal documentation, T-Mobile recommends a few Kingston memory cards; I won't bother copying the models, because they are 2, 4, 8, and 16 GB. They do not recomend a specific 32 GB card. There might be a reason they did not recommend Kingston 32 GB microSDHC.
So, did you just buy the memory card? Are you able to return it and get a different model? Or exchange it for another and see if a different one works like magnetar's (above)?
Yes I just bought it but i cant returned it so I am probably going to sell it. Do you think that the sandisk mobil would work on my phone?, because I was reading and it says is compatible but it is always good to have a recomendation.
Thanks for your time
