Hey everyone, I just got a msg update from My Device app saying that My Account now supports Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
Just wondering how I can update my device to the new OS ?
The message was referring to the fact that the My Account app is now compatible with Android 4.0, not your phone OS; sorry, it'll still be a while until we get an ICS OTA on our phones!
Well that sucks a ton of **********
Not really. This means that T-Mobile is preparing to launch ICS in the near future. Each day inches us closer to a release date. We just don't know how many inches we have until we're there.
Well I hope its real soon, cause I'm inches away from shoving this S2 deep in T-mobile's root cavity for a SCS
My real question is what exactly are you expecting ICS to do for your phone that you phone doesn't already do?
google video chat prob my no1 reason, but mainly I want it because its really really really really cool n stuff.
Tango, Qik and Fling can do video chat, but it's just really the cool factor. I too want ICS but it's not something I'm going to get worked up about. At least not for another 6 months. Then my horns will show.
The gtalk app that comes preinstalled on the sgs2 has video chat.....as long as you are on 2.3.6 it'll work just fine.
Forgot to mention that gtalk is google talk.
Yea...mine works tooooo well!

While I don't think ICS will bring any revolutionary UI changes or anything of the sort (especially with TW overlaid) it does fix a lot of behind the scenes issues like speed, performance, and battery life. Multitasking is improved among a lot of other enhancements, that's what I'm looking forward to; I don't know if we'll get the facial recognition or any of the fun google things though, but an update is exciting nonetheless.
I think you're wrong. ICS will bring world peace, an end to the energy crisis, defeat global warming and automatically gives me 3 stars on every Angry Birds level.
I'm mostly concerned about the 3 stars. Can anyone confirm these rumors! Please!
After what has happened with the galaxy S2 update to ICS I cannot justify ordering another Samsung phone or continuing to be a T-Mobile customer. No wonder T-Mobile lost so many customers late month & continues to be a 3rd rated service provider. If there ever was a time that T-Mobile needed to shine by getting ICS out quickly this was it.
I guess t-mobile exec's didn't care that if they had been the first ones out of gate with ICS it would have gone a long ways in restoring their image as a reliable & customer caring cellular provider.
Also, I guess they are just to stupid to know that they would have gotten millions in free advertising from all the web blogs, news print & social networks reporting how they had already upgraded their Galaxy S2 customers.
This ICS fiasco is the final nail in the coffin for Samsung / T-Mobile and will cost them thousands & thousands of customers in the long run.
I would have liked to be a fly on the wall in the T-Mobile board room when the T-Mobile worthless wonders tried to explain why Apple is still kicking Android / T-Mobile **** so badly.
