Wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary. Sent a text to my friend. My phone froze up, not even the power button responding. I waited for a couple minutes and it didn't unstick, so I opened the back and pulled the battery out. When I put the battery back in and restarted my phone, it went thru it's scans like normal then I get a message in the notification bar saying Blank external SD card. When I click on the message it asks me to format the card. I tell it to do so, and the phone freezes. Force close. I try to format the card on the computer, and it says it is unable to do so. I even did a factory reset on my phone just to get this stuff working again. NO HELP. Please tell me what to do!
You can take a look at Memory card issues to view some additional steps to help you work towards resolving your issue. But since the phone and computer are giving you SD card errors, that lets us know the SD card is now defective, and need to be replaced.
