Hello, recently my HTC Sensation keeps resetting itself the white screen with htc in green letters appears on my phone at least 20 times a day I have no idea what is wrong with the phone I have only had it for 2 months. Someone please help!
What new apps have you installed around the time this issue started?
If there's no new apps that might be the cause, try clearing system cache, if that does not help, do a battery pull master reset.
We have identified this as a known issue and are currently working with HTC to provide a resolution. Until the update from HTC is provided please use the following work around:
I had the same problem where my phone restarted 15 times in 1 hour, I went to the T-Mobile store. They weren't able to do anything for me so I called T-Mobile Customer Service where they "troubleshot" the problem. They couldn't tell me anything more than it may be due to certain applications downloaded on my phone, and HTC would address it with the next software update. The man on the phone read through a list of applications that may be causing the problem. I deleted Pandora and the problem stopped instantly.
A good solution is to use a third-party launcher like LauncherPro, or ADW, or Go Launcher.
You have to clarify what reset means. How long does it take for each 'reset'? 15 seconds or 2 minutes?
If it's the former, it's called Sesnse UI reloading. It happens when you go back to home screen but the Sense UI process is killed by system to get more memory for other running process. If this is the case, as jaylanphnx suggested, you may try other launchers because they are faster and much less memory consumption.
I have been having the same problem for the past 2 weeks. I decided to do today what I had done with my old Blackberry... battery pull. It made a HUGE difference and now my phone is SUPER fast! No more waiting for the home screen to reload. I wish I had done it sooner.
I have been having this "reset" happen to me the past few days. I tried the clearing system cache so we will see what happens!
this just recently started happening on my phone as well...
i occasionally "kill" all my apps using the built in task killer, just to try to avoid this issue, but sometimes all my memory gets taken up, and then it causes my phone to force restart.
happens on average of 3-4 times a day. not that annoying, but if it were to occur any more than that, i would consider it to be annoying...
