    Hey hohoney!

I found some steps for the Nokia 5230 that help you check and manage your memory.  Hope this helps!

The device has a max of 70MB internal phone memory. There is 45MB phone internal memory available from the beginning.  The device uses a memory card as a default storage location for your personal applications and media content. Keep the  internal phone memory to no less than 5MB ensures smooth processing. The device notifies you if the phone memory or memory card memory is getting low.

To check memory utilization statistics, follow these steps:

    1. Press Menu.
    2. Select Applications.
    3. Select Office.
    4. Select File Mgr.
    5. Select Phone Memory.
    6. Press Options.
    7. Select Details.
    8. Select Memory.

    or

    1. From home screen, press the Menu button.
    2. Select Options.
    3. Select Memory details.
    4. Select Phone memory.

To free phone memory Follow these steps:

    3. Select Office.
    4. Select File Mgr.
    5. Select Move to folder (or Options > Organize > Move to folder)
    6. Select the destination folder.

To store text messages to the memory card or mass memory, follow these steps:

    1. Press Menu.
    2. Select Messaging.
    3. Select Options.
    4. Select Settings.
    5. Select Other.
    6. Select Memory in use.
    7. Select Memory card.

Additional things you can delete to free memory:

    • Messages from Inbox, Drafts and Sent folders in Messaging.
    • Retrieved e-mail messages from the phone memory.
    • Saved Web pages. Clear the web browser cache to free some memory.
