    TRANSFER

I just got a new HTC Radar 4G and am trying to transfer my contacts via Bluetooth. It keeps telling me that the device is not supported.

Is there any other way to transfer my contacts from my old phone other than Bluetooth?

Are you transferring from a different device?  If so, I would take both devices to a tmobile store.  They should be able to copy all the contacts from one device to another.  Let me know if that helps?

          Thanks for posting

Windows Phone 7 doesn't yet support the bluetooth profile needed to transfer contact information. The list of supported profiles is listed here. Currently it is as follows

            • Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP 1.2)
            • Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP 1.3)
            • Hands Free Profile (HFP 1.5)
            • Headset Profile (HSP 1.1)
            • Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP 1.1)

If your old phone is internet capable if you can sync it with a Live account, Exchange account, or Gmail account then you can sync with that account then put the same account on the phone.

Actually, contacts transfer via bluetooth is supported on Windows Phone via the Nokia Lumia 710.

A Nokia-created app (cleverly named Contacts Transfer) is preinstalled on that specific product which makes it pretty easy to do so, assuming of course the device the contacts are coming from is compatible/supported.  See this link for more detail: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-3033

That's good to know. But from reading the description that only appears to be for copying contact information to a Nokia phone. Is that correct? Or is this something that can only be used for those with Nokia phones?

Yep, that app is only on Nokia Lumia, not available to download from the Windows Marketplace.
