Phone on backorder....

Can you someone please help me figure out when I will receive my phone? I ordered it Sunday July 24 I was supposed to receive it Tuesday at the latest. I received a message Monday that it was on backorder. Please Help me!!

    I didn't receive a message that mine was on backorder. I called to find out when I was going to get a tracking number and was advised at that time.

    This is terrible, I'm very upset. How long should your "flagship" be on backorder????

    I wish I had an answer. I spoke with a supervisor who was not aware that they were on backorder and had to investigate by sending in a research form. He will contact me on Saturday. Hopefully I will have it before then.

    I really have no idea what tmob is doing anymore.

    My only surprise, is that it took the Sensation over 30 days to reach backorder status.  Usually HTC devices hit "backorder" status with a carrier much faster.  It's just the way it goes with popular devices, that simply can't be stocked fast enough to meet demand.

    darnell:  It supposedly hit backorder about three or four weeks ago as well.  I remember seeing it in the old forums.

    I received my first one last Tuesday. It wasn't on back order then. I don't have a problem it being on backorder,however I do have a problem not being told. I'm having to use a phone that randomly shuts off and over heats.

    My point exactly. The reason I'm upgrading is becasue of problems with my MT4g. I think they should have a better way of trcking shipments to and from there warehouse. It's ridiculous that no one can tell me an approximate date that the phone will be shipped. It boils down to poor planning. This is just frustrating and they keep saying the same thing, "as soon as your phone ships, you'll get a text message".

    What was wrong with your first one? Why did you have to send it back?

    Overheating and ramdon restarts. I sit for about three or four minutes and watch it turn on and off. Did everything tmob instructed me to do and It did not not solve the problem.

    At least you have something to use.  My phone was ran over a week ago today.  The rep shipped the wrong phone, I had to send it back, then after three reps supposedly ordered the Sensation for me, I had the 4th actually give a confirmation number.  Now it's on freaking back order.  So I guess I'll be without a phone for a couple more weeks.  I won't be paying this month's bill.

    Wow, I'm glad I was able to keep the phone until they sent me out another one. It still shuts off and over heats. I only use it when necessary.

    Hopefully we all will have it by tomorrow.

    Do you have any news on it coming tomorrow, or just a guess?  The rep I talked to didn't know anything, he said it could be weeks.  He told me to ask my friends on Facebook to borrow a phone.

    No, it's just a guess. I think I would be furious if someone had suggested I ask my friend if I could borrow a phone. You do know you can get a loaner for a tmobile store?

    I'm beyond furious.  I had an accident on my motorcycle last Thursday.  My phone fell out of my pocket and was ran over by several cars.  At the time, I had the Mytouch 4g.  When I finally got home, I called 611 and told them what happened.  Having been a customer since 2003, they gave me an early upgrade option.  I ordered the Sensation.  The rep somehow ordered the mytouch 4g instead.  I've spent no less than 4 hours on the phone, and over 15 calls to Tmobile to straighten this out.  I was told on three seperate occasions that the Sensation was ordered.  I waited 24 hours on each occasion and called back to get a status, only to be told it was never ordered.  Finally on Tuesday, I get another rep to order the phone, and I acctually get a confirmation number.  I check it all day yesterday and it's in process.  Finally today, it's backordered.  Unbelievable.  That, and the Facebook comment was just too much.  I pay over $250 a month for our family plan.  There's no reason at all that this can't be resolved in a timely manner.
