What is myFaves

myFaves is an optional calling plan. T-Mobile myFaves helps you stay connected to the people who matter most in your life. Simply choose any five US phone numbers you call most often, on any network, and have them displayed on your phone’s main screen.*

*Excluding 411; voice mail; toll-free, 900, calling card, and customers' own numbers; and single numbers allowing access to 500 or more persons.

Navigating myFaves

Press the Left Navigation or Right Navigation key to scroll to your myFaves contacts.

Adding a new contact

To add a new contact, perform the following steps:

1.	At the main screen, scroll to an unassigned circle and select OK.

2.	Select Create new.

3.	Type the contact’s name and phone number.

Assign an icon

4.	Scroll to Icon and select Options, and then Change.

5.	Select one of the following (when finished, go to Step 6 to assign a ringtone):

• Take a picture to take a picture with the camera. Frame the subject and select Capture. Adjust the circle by pressing the Navigation keys and selecting Crop.
• Photos to use a picture you have saved. Scroll to and select the picture. Adjust the circle by pressing the Navigation keys and selecting Crop.
• myFaves icons to use a pre-loaded myFaves icon. Scroll to and select the icon.
• Gallery to use a picture in the Gallery. Scroll to and select the folder. Scroll to and select the picture. Adjust the circle by pressing the Navigation keys and select Crop.
• More icons to go to t-zones® and download new icons. It is recommended that you save your myFaves contact first, and then download an icon for that contact. For information on how to download, go to Downloading a new icon.

Assign a ringtone

6.	Scroll to Ringtone and select Options, and then Change.

7.	Select one of the following:

• Default to use the default ringtone.
• Open Gallery to use a ringtone in the Gallery. Select the folder and ringtone.
• Tone downloads to go to t-zones and download a ringtone. It is recommended that you save your myFaves contact first, and then download a ringtone. For information on how to download, go to Downloading a new ringtone.

8.	Select Save and then Yes to confirm saving your contact.

The myFaves circle will display an hourglass while the contact is being updated. Once your contact is added, you will receive a confirmation and your contact will display on the main screen.

Adding a new contact from the phone book

To add a new contact from the phone book, perform the following steps:

1.	At the main screen, scroll to an unassigned circle and select OK.

2.	Select .Get from phonebook

3.	Scroll to and select the contact you want to add.

Assign an icon

4.	Scroll to Icon and select Options, and then Change.

5.	Select one of the following (when finished, go to Step 6 to assign a ringtone):

• Take a picture to take a picture with the camera. Frame the subject and select Capture. Adjust the circle by pressing the Navigation keys and select Crop.
• Photos to use a picture you have saved. Scroll to and select the picture. Adjust the circle by pressing the Navigation keys and selecting Crop.
• myFaves icons to use a pre-loaded myFaves icon. Scroll to and select the icon.
• Gallery to use a picture in the Gallery. Scroll to and select the folder. Scroll to and select the picture. Adjust the circle by pressing the Navigation keys and selecting Crop.
• More icons to go to t-zones and download new icons. It is recommended that you save your myFaves contact first, and then download an icon for that contact. For information on how to download, go to Downloading a new icon.

Assign a ringtone

6.	Scroll to Ringtone and select Options, and then Change.

7.	Select one of the following:

• Default to use the default ringtone.
• Open Gallery to use a ringtone in the Gallery. Select the folder and ringtone.
• Tone downloads to go to t-zones and download a ringtone. It is recommended that you save your myFaves contact first, and then download a ringtone. For information on how to download, go to Downloading a new ringtone.

8.	Select Save and then Yes to confirm saving your contact.

Calling contacts

To call contacts, perform the following steps:

1.	At the main screen, press the Left or Right Navigation key to scroll to the myFaves contact.

2.	Press the green Send key.

Sending a text message

To send a text message, perform the following steps:

1.	At the main screen, press the Left or Right Navigation key to scroll to the myFaves contact.

2.	Select OK.

3.	Scroll to and select Send message.

4.	Type your message.

5.	Select Send.

Sending a picture message

To send a picture message, perform the following steps:

1.	At the main screen, press the Left or Right Navigation key to scroll to the myFaves contact.

2.	Select OK.

3.	Scroll to and select Share picture.

4.	Select one of the following:

• Take a picture to take a picture and send. Frame the subject and select Capture. Select Send.
• myFaves icons to send a pre-loaded icon. Scroll to and select the icon. Scroll to the abc field and type your message. Scroll down and select the Send button.
• Photos to send a picture you have saved. Scroll to and select the picture. Scroll to the abc field and type your message. Scroll down and select the Send button.
• Gallery to send a file in the Gallery. Scroll to and select the folder and file. Scroll to the abc field and type your message. Scroll down and select the Send button.

Sending a Voice Note

To send a Voice Note, perform the following steps:

1.	At the main screen, press the Left or Right Navigation key to scroll to the myFaves contact.

2.	Select OK.

3.	Scroll to and select Send voice note.

4.	Press the Center Select key to record. Press again to stop.

5.	Scroll to and select the Send button.

Editing contact information

Names, icons, ringtones: You can change names, icons, or ringtones at any time.

Phone numbers: You can only change a contact’s phone number once per calendar month. If a number change is not allowed, you will receive an error message explaining why.

To edit a contact, perform the following steps:

1.	At the main screen, press the Left or Right Navigation key to scroll to the myFaves contact.

2.	Select OK.

3.	Scroll to and select Options, and then select Edit profile.

4.	Type a new name or number.

Change icon

5.	Scroll to Icon and select Options, and then Change.

6.	Select one of the following:

• Take a picture to take a picture with the camera. Frame the subject and select Capture. Adjust the circle by pressing the Navigation keys and select Crop.
• Photos to use a picture you have saved. Scroll to and select the picture. Adjust the circle by pressing the Navigation keys and selecting Crop.
• myFaves icons to use a pre-loaded myFaves icon. Scroll to and select the icon.
• Gallery to use a picture in the Gallery. Scroll to and select the folder. Scroll to and select the picture. Adjust the circle by pressing the Navigation keys and selecting Crop.
• More icons to go to t-zones and download new icons. It is recommended that you save your myFaves contact first, and then download an icon for that contact. For information on how to download, go to Downloading a new icon.

Change ringtone

7.	Scroll to Ringtone and select Options, and then Change.

8.	Select one of the following:

• Default to use the default ringtone.
• Open Gallery to use a ringtone in the Gallery. Select the folder and ringtone.
• Tone downloads to go to t-zones and download a ringtone. It is recommended that you save your myFaves contact first, and then download a ringtone. For information on how to download, go to Downloading a new ringtone.

9.	Select Save.

Changing the order of a contact

To change the order of a contact, perform the following steps:

1.	At the main screen, press the Left or Right Navigation key to scroll to the myFaves contact.

2.	Select OK.

3.	Scroll to and select Options, and then select Change order.

4.	Scroll left or right to select a new position for the contact.

5.	Select OK.

Replacing a contact

To replace a contact, perform the following steps:

1.	At the main screen, press the Left or Right Navigation key to scroll to the myFaves contact.

2.	Select OK.

3.	Scroll to and select Options, and then select Replace contact.

4.	Select Create new or Get from phonebook.

5.	Follow instructions in the Add myFaves contacts section to add new contacts.

Changing the icon - Taking a new picture and assigning it to an existing contact

To change the icon by taking a new picture and assigning it to an existing contact, perform the following steps:

1.	At the main screen, press the Left or Right Navigation key to scroll to the myFaves contact.

2.	Select OK.

3.	Scroll to and select Options, and then select Edit profile.

4.	Scroll to the Icon field and select Options, and then Change.

5.	Select Take a picture.

6.	Frame the subject and select Capture to take the photo.

7.	Select Crop.

8.	Select Save.

To change the icon by cropping an existing picture and assigning it to an existing contact, perform the following steps:

1.	At the main screen, press the Left or Right Navigation key to scroll to the myFaves contact.

2.	Select OK.

3.	Scroll to and select Options, and then select Edit profile.

4.	Scroll to the Icon field and select Options, and then Change.

5.	Scroll to and select Photos.

6.	Scroll to and select the photo.

7.	Select Crop.

8.	Select Save.

Downloading a new icon

To download a new icon, perform the following steps:

1.	At the main screen, select t-zones.

2.	Scroll to and select myFaves Icons.

3.	Select myFaves Icons again.

4.	Select the icon category and icon.

5.	Select ACCEPT, and then OK.

6.	Select Options, and then Use image.

7.	Scroll to and select Set as myFaves icon.

8.	Scroll to and select your myFaves contact.

9.	Press the red End key to exit.

Downloading a new ringtone

To download a new ringtone, perform the following steps:

1.	At the main screen, select t-zones.

2.	Scroll to and select Music & Sounds.

3.	Select HiFi Ringers®, MegaTones®, or Voices & Sounds.

4.	Select the tone category and tone.

5.	Select ACCEPT, and then OK.

6.	Press the red End key to exit t-zones.

7.	At the main screen, scroll to your myFaves contact and select OK.

8.	Select Options, and then Edit profile.

9.	Scroll to Ringtone and select Options, and then select Change.

10.	Scroll to and select Open Gallery.

11.	Locate the tone and select it.

12.	Select Save.

Hiding or unhiding the myFaves main display

Hiding or displaying the myFaves icons will change the default shortcuts assigned to the Navigation keys at the main screen. You can access your myFaves contacts through the phone book when hidden.

To hide or unhide the myFaves main display, perform the following steps:

1.	At the main screen, select Menu.

2.	Scroll to and select Settings.

3.	Select myFaves.

4.	Select Display Hide/Show.

5.	Select Hide or Show.

6.	Select OK.

Refreshing myFaves

To refresh myFaves, perform the following steps:

1.	At the main screen, select Menu.

2.	Scroll to and select Settings.

3.	Select myFaves.

4.	Scroll to and select Refresh contacts.
