Installing a Micro SD card NOTE: You can install a Micro SD (Secure Digital) card in your phone to have an alternative storage place for your images, video, music, and other phone data. NOTE: The Micro SD card is not shipped with the phone. To install the Micro SD card, perform the following steps: | 1. | Remove the back cover of the phone. |
| 2. | Insert the Micro SD card into the slot with its gold contacts facing down, as shown. |

Removing the card To remove the Micro SD card, press the card to pop it out of the slot. Accessing files on the card using the phone To access files on the card using the phone, perform the following steps: | 1. | At the Home screen, select Start, and then select File Explorer. |
| 2. | Select Menu, and then select Storage Card. |
| 3. | Select the desired folder or file. |
Deleting files on the card using the phone To delete files on the card using the phone, perform the following steps: | 1. | At the Home screen, select Start, and then select File Explorer. |
| 2. | Select Menu, and then select Storage Card. |
| 3. | Scroll to the desired file and select Menu, select Edit, and then select Delete. |
Moving files from the computer to the card To move files from the computer to the card, perform the following steps: | 1. | Plug the USB cable into the sync connector port on the bottom of your phone. |
| 2. | Plug the other end of the USB cable into a USB port on your computer. You will receive an audio alert when a connection is established. |
| 3. | On your computer, within ActiveSync, click Explore. The Mobile Device folder opens. |
| 4. | On your computer, highlight the file or folder that you want to copy. Select one of the following options: |
- To copy the file from your personal computer, right-click the file and click Copy. Right-click within the Mobile Device folder and click Paste.
- Using the computer mouse or touchpad, drag and drop the file or folder from one location to another while holding down the Ctrl key.
Moving files from the card to the phone To move files from the card to the phone, perform the following steps: | 1. | At the Home screen, select Start, and then select File Explorer. |
| 2. | Select Menu, and then select Storage Card. |
| 3. | Scroll to the desired file. Select Menu, select Edit, and then select Cut or Copy. |
| 4. | Select Menu, and then select My Device. If applicable, scroll to and select the folder to which you wish to move the file. |
| 5. | Select Menu, select Edit, and then select Paste. |
Moving files from the phone to the card To move files from the phone to the card, perform the following steps: | 1. | At the Home screen, select Start, and then select File Explorer. |
| 2. | Select Menu, and then select My Device. |
| 3. | Scroll to the desired file. Select Menu, select Edit, and then select Cut or Copy. |
| 4. | Select Menu, and then select Storage Card. If applicable, scroll to and select the folder to which you wish to move the file. |
| 5. | Select Menu, select Edit, and then select Paste. |
