Insert/remove SIM card

Important: Inserting the micro SIM card without the SIM card holder could damage your micro SIM card or your phone.
To insert or remove the SIM card, follow these steps:

  1. Insert a fingernail into the gap between the micro SIM card slot cover and the side of the device, then detach the cover.
  2. Using a fingernail, pull out the micro SIM card holder.
  3. Place the micro SIM card on the holder, with the gold-colored contacts on the micro SIM card facing down.
  4. Insert the micro SIM card holder back into the device.
  5. Re-attach the micro SIM card slot cover.

  1. Remove the cover of the micro SIM card slot cover.
  2. Pull out the micro SIM card holder.
  3. Remove the micro SIM card.
  4. Insert the micro SIM card holder back into its slot.
  5. Re-attach the micro SIM card slot cover.

Delete SIM messages

To delete SIM messages, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Messaging icon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon in the upper-right corner.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Scroll down to 'GENERAL SETTINGS,' and then tap SIM messages.

 

 

View free SIM space

Mobile Device Unlock

Mobile Device Unlock

The Mobile Device Unlock code allows the device to use a SIM card from another wireless carrier. This may be necessary when traveling internationally. To enter the Mobile Device Unlock code, follow these steps:

 

Important: Stop if you receive an error message. The device may lock permanently if you enter the incorrect code multiple times.

 

  1. See if your phone is eligible to unlock: Mobile Wireless Device Unlocking.
  2. Contact Customer Care to request the Mobile Device Unlock code for your phone.
  3. Turn the phone off.
  4. Insert the blocked SIM card, and then turn the phone on.
  5. Enter the unblock code, and then tap Unlock. The phone should display a confirmation message stating that the SIM card is now unlocked.
