Steps

Register your device and create a new T-Mobile ID

If your Mobile Internet line is already activated, then you're ready to register your device and create a new T-Mobile ID by following these steps:

 

  1. Turn off Wi-Fi on your device and confirm you have a T-Mobile signal.
  2. To create a new T-Mobile ID on an iPad, follow this path: Home screen > Settings > Cellular Data > View Account.
    On other tablets, follow this path: Web browser > mim.t-mobile.com (If the URL does NOT load, go to reg.t-mobile.com).
    • At this point, you can use the email address for your existing T-Mobile ID, or add a new email address to create a new T-Mobile ID.
    • Tap Next.
    • Enter and verify the email and password information required to log in.
      Note: You'll need to manually enter the information; do NOT copy and paste.
    • Enter your T-Mobile account information If you have a Pay in Advance/Prepaid account, enter your PIN.
    • Set account permissions for the new Mobile Internet line.
    • Tap Next. It may take a few minutes to complete the update, and you'll be notified when the process is complete.

      Note: The 200MB free data for life data pass will now be activated on your account, and you can immediately sign back into MIM to verify the 200MB free data pass was added.

     

     

    Create a new Pay in Advance MIM account

    To create a new Pay in Advance Mobile Internet Management account, complete the following steps:

     

    1. Turn off Wi-Fi on your device and confirm you have a T-Mobile Signal
    2. Access MIM
    3. Select Create a new account
    4. Fill in the User Information
    5. If you already have a T-Mobile ID, tap Use Existing Login?. Otherwise, in the Login Information section, enter and verify your email and password.
      IMPORTANT: You must manually enter each information. Do NOT copy and paste this information
    6. Next, purchase the desired data pass by entering the appropriate payment information. You can also leave the options set to On Demand Only and No additional data if you want to only use the 200MB Free Data for Life offer.
    7. Enter your information. Tap Next.
    8. Review and agree to the Terms of Service by tapping Agree.
    9. Review the Payment Summary & Billing Information. Tap Submit. Then tap OK.

     

     

     

    Create a new Postpaid account / Add a Line to your Postpaid account

    To add a new Mobile Internet line to an existing Postpaid account, complete the following steps:

     

    1. Turn off Wi-Fi on your device and confirm you have a T-Mobile signal.
    2. Access MIM.
    3. Select ADD DEVICE TO MY ACCOUNT
    4. Fill in the information in the Add to existing account screen:
      • Mobile number of the line designated as the Primary Account Holder.
      • When you fill in this information, make sure it matches what we have on file for billing:
        • Date of birth
        • Billing ZIP code
        • Last 4 of SSN
    5. Tap Next.
    6. If you already have a T-Mobile ID, tap Use Existing Login?. Otherwise, in the Login Information section, enter and verify your email and password. Your password must be 8-16 characters and include at least 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase, 1 digit, and 1 special character. IMPORTANT: You must manually enter each information. Do NOT copy and paste this information
    7. Next you can select the Cellular Data Plan options by purchasing a one-time domestic data pass, a recurring domestic data pass (month pass), or leave options set to On Demand Only and No additional data if you want to only use the 200MB Free Data for Life offer.
    8. Set the New Account Permissions by choosing either:
      • Allow New Line To Manage My Account
      • Don't Allow New Line To Manage My Account
    9. Tap Next.
    10. Review and agree to the Terms of Service by tapping Agree.
    11. Review the Payment Summary and tap Submit.
    12. Once the changes are applied, a congratulations screen will appear. Tap OK.

     

     

     

    Switch your existing T-Mobile ID to another Mobile Internet device

    To move your existing T-Mobile ID to a different Mobile Internet device, complete the following steps:

     

    1. Turn off Wi-Fi on your device and confirm you have a T-Mobile signal.
    2. Access MIM
    3. Select Sign In With An Existing User ID and then tap Next.
    4. Log in to your account using your email address and password.
    5. Fill in your account Information, making sure it matches what is on file for billing.
      Note: You must be the Primary Account Holder (PAH) or authorized by the PAH to make any changes
    6. Set the New Account Permissions.
    7. Tap Next.
    8. Review Terms of Service and tap Agree. 


    Note: The 200MB free data for life data pass will now be activated on the account. You can immediately sign back into MIM to verify the 200MB free data pass was added.

     

     

    Change your Mobile Internet plan

    To change your Mobile Internet plan, complete the following steps:

     

    1. Turn off Wi-Fi on your device and confirm you have a T-Mobile signal.
    2. Log in to MIM using your T-Mobile ID:
      • On your iPad, follow this path: Home screen > Settings > Cellular Data > View Account.
      • On other tablets, follow this path: Web browser > mim.t-mobile.com (If the URL does NOT load, go to reg.t-mobile.com).
    3. In the Account Overview screen, tap Add Data or Change Plan.
    4. Select Purchase a Recurring Domestic Data Pass Options. Tap Next.
    5. If you have a Postpaid account, review your changes and tap Submit.
      Otherwise, if you have a Pay in Advance (Prepaid) account, enter your payment information and tap Next.
    6. Review and agree to the Terms of Service and tap Agree.
    7. Review Payment Summary and tap Submit.

     

     

     

    Buy On-Demand Data Passes

    To buy an On-Demand Data Pass, complete the following steps:

     

    1. Turn off Wi-Fi on your device and confirm you have a T-Mobile signal.
    2. Log in to MIM using your T-Mobile ID:
      • On your iPad, follow this path: Home screen > Settings > Cellular Data > View Account.
      • On other tablets, follow this path: Web browser > mim.t-mobile.com (If the URL does NOT load, go to reg.t-mobile.com).
    3. In the Account Overview screen, tap Add Data or Change Plan.
    4. In the One-Time Domestic Data Pass Options, select the pass. Tap Next.
    5. If you have a Postpaid account, review your changes and tap Submit.
      Otherwise, if you have a Pay in Advance (Prepaid) account, enter your payment information and tap Next.
    6. Review and agree to the Terms of Service and tap Agree.
    7. Review Payment Summary and tap Submit.

     

     

     

    Check your usage

    To view the usage for linked accounts, complete the following steps:

     

    1. Turn off Wi-Fi on your device and confirm you have T-Mobile signal.
    2. Log in to MIM using your T-Mobile ID:
      • On your iPad, follow this path: Home screen > Settings > Cellular Data > View Account.
      • On other tablets, follow this path: Web browser > mim.t-mobile.com (If the URL does NOT load, go to reg.t-mobile.com).
    3. In the Account Overview screen, the Status section displays:
      • Your current pass usage
      • Amount of remaining high-speed data
      • Days remaining on the pass

     

     

     

    View your data pass purchase history

    To view previous data pass purchases, complete the following steps:

     

    1. Turn off Wi-Fi on your device and confirm you have a T-Mobile signal.
    2. Log in to MIM using your T-Mobile ID:
      • On your iPad, follow this path: Home screen > Settings > Cellular Data > View Account.
      • On other tablets, follow this path: Web browser > mim.t-mobile.com (If the URL does NOT load, go to reg.t-mobile.com).
    3. On the Account Overview screen, scroll to and tap View Full Account Overview. A pop-up window will display all your pass purchases and plan changes for the last 12 months.

     

     

     

    Set up or modify your auto-renew

    To setup auto-renew on your Pay in Advance Mobile Internet line, complete the following steps:

     

    1. Turn off Wi-Fi on your device and confirm you have a T-Mobile signal.
    2. Log in to MIM using your T-Mobile ID:
      • On your iPad, follow this path: Home screen > Settings > Cellular Data > View Account.
      • On other tablets, follow this path: Web browser > mim.t-mobile.com (If the URL does NOT load, go to reg.t-mobile.com).
    3. In the Account Overview screen, tap Add Data or Change Plan.
    4. In the Recurring Domestic Data Pass Options, select an Auto-Renew pass. Tap Next.
    5. Enter your payment information and tap Next.
    6. Review and agree to the Terms of Service. Tap Agree.
    7. Review Payment Summary. Tap Submit.

     

    To modify your auto-renew information:

     

    1. Log in to MIM using your T-Mobile ID.
    2. Click Edit User and Payment Information found at the bottom of the page.
    3. Click on the option to change the information you need to update.
    4. Make sure you click Next after updating the information.

     

     

     

    Cancel your plan

    To cancel your Mobile Internet plan, complete the following steps:

     

    1. Turn off Wi-Fi on your device and confirm you have a T-Mobile signal.
    2. Log in to MIM using your T-Mobile ID:
      • On your iPad, follow this path: Home screen > Settings > Cellular Data > View Account.
      • On other tablets, follow this path: Web browser > mim.t-mobile.com (If the URL does NOT load, go to reg.t-mobile.com).
    3. In the Account Overview screen, tap Cancel Plan.
    4. Confirm that Cancel Plan And Delete Account Now is checked. Tap Continue.
    5. Tap OK.

     

     

     

    Recover your T-Mobile ID password

    To recover the T-Mobile ID password using MIM, complete the following:

     

    1. Turn off Wi-Fi on your device and confirm you have a T-Mobile signal.
    2. Log in to MIM using your T-Mobile ID:
      • On your iPad, follow this path: Home screen > Settings > Cellular Data > View Account.
      • On other tablets, follow this path: Web browser > mim.t-mobile.com (If the URL does NOT load, go to reg.t-mobile.com).
    3. Enter your T-Mobile ID (email address). Tap Forgot Password?. Your password will be sent to your T-Mobile ID email address.
