Block messages

Block messages or spam from a number

To block incoming text or picture messages (SMS or MMS) or mark them as spam, follow these steps:

Manage messages

Add SMS service center number

To edit text-message settings, follow these steps:

 

  1. Connect your computer to your Mobile Hotspot via Wi-Fi.
  2. On your computer, double-click the T-Mobile Hotspot Admin icon on your desktop or open a browser window and enter http://mobile.hotspot/.
  3. Enter your administrator password and click Login.
  4. Note: The default administrator password is admin.
  5. Click Text Message.
  6. Click Settings.

  7. Change one or more of the following options:
    • Validity (length of time to attempt to deliver a message)
    • Center Number (the message center phone number)
    • Delivery Report (enable or disable message delivery report)
      • Note: It is recommended that you accept default settings and do not change them unless you are an advanced user. If you have problems using your Mobile Hotspot after you change a setting, it is recommended that you reset the device to factory default settings.
  8. Click Save.

 

 

Delete picture messages (MMS)

To delete picture messages (MMS), follow these steps:

Delete text messages (SMS)

To delete text messages (SMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. Connect your computer to your Mobile Hotspot via Wi-Fi.
  2. On your computer, double-click the T-Mobile Hotspot Admin icon on your desktop or open a browser window and enter http://mobile.hotspot/.
  3. Enter your administrator password and click Login.
    • Note: The default administrator password is admin.
  4. Click Text Message.
  5. Click Messages.

  6. Click Inbox.
  7. Click the check box of the message you want to delete.
  8. Click Delete.
    • Note: To delete all messages, click Delete All.
  9. Click OK.

 

View a text message (SMS)

To read a text message (SMS) you received, follow these steps:

 

  1. Connect your computer to your Mobile Hotspot via Wi-Fi.
  2. On your computer, double-click the T-Mobile Hotspot Admin icon on your desktop or open a browser window and enter http://mobile.hotspot/.
  3. Enter your administrator password and click Login.
    • Note: The default administrator password is admin.
  4. Click Text Message.
  5. Click Messages.
  6. Click Inbox.
  7. Click to select the check box of the message you want to view.

Send messages

Send a text message (SMS)

To send a text message, follow these steps:

 

  1. Connect your computer to your Mobile Hotspot via Wi-Fi.
  2. On your computer, double-click the T-Mobile Hotspot Admin icon on your desktop or open a browser window and enter http://mobile.hotspot/.
  3. Enter your administrator password and click Login.
    • Note: The default administrator password is admin.
  4. Click Text Message.
  5. Click Compose Message.

  6. In the Phone Number field, enter the recipient’s 10-digit phone number.
  7. In the Contents field, enter a message that is up to 160 characters long.
  8. Click Send.

 

 

Send a new picture or video in a message (MMS)

To take a new picture or video and send it as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:
